Welcome to this time of worship! It is a time to gather as one body, united by the Spirit, just as the early believers were in Acts 2.

Scripture tells us that the first followers of Jesus “devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” They shared life together praising God with glad and sincere hearts and through their faithfulness, “the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”

Today, as we come together in song, in prayer, in hearing the Word, and in fellowship, may we capture that same spirit of devotion and unity. May our worship reflect hearts that are eager to learn, to share, and to grow in love for God and for one another.

So let us open our hearts and lift our voices.
